Methods of Instrumental Analysis

FCH-MA_MIAAcad. year: 2023/2024

Instrumental techniques for characterization of properties of colloids (particles size and charge, interactions, thermodynamic and transport properties) and surface (wetting, contact angle, atomic force microscopy), methods for analysis of colloidal and special materials (thermic, viscoelastic, electric and electro-optical properties, microscopy).

Aims

The main aim of the course is to describe the principles of selected techniques of instrumental analysis, methods used for characterisation of colloidal systems and materials generally used in modern chemistry, chemical technology and in surface analysis. Describe the ways how to select appropriate instrumental technique, settings the measurement parameters and data processing.
Students attending the course will be able to describe the basic principles of selected methods of structural analysis and methods for characterisation of colloidal systems and materials used in modern chemistry and chemical technology and for surface analysis. Student will be able to select appropriate method for given analysis, its basic settings and make data processing.
