Learning outcomes of the course unit

Course offers knowledge and abilities development needed for planning, designing and control of changes generally and technical innovation in concrete.
Absolvent is able to describe and explain:
- inovative project (target, aim, outputs, activity, resources),
- each analytical steps (compononets, structure, functions, parameters, costs, innovation task),
- typical inventive task (technical contradicktion, physical contradiction, substance or field conflicts, technical function),
- recommendation for finding of solutins (heuristics, separation, solution patterns, scientific effects).
Absolvent is able to use: analysis of object, synthesis of innnovative solution, search of relevant information and knowledgefor problem solving.
Absolvent is able to create: report describing solution of a project.

Prerequisites

Student who will book this course should to know basic thinking operations (induction, deduction, abstraction, concretisation,...)

The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is requested, accomplished semestral project SP1 and bachelor projekt (BP).
Student who will book this course should to know taks to be solved in projects (SP and DP) where topics mastered in MPRI can be utilized:
- data mining, - knowledge mining, - analysis of object to be innovated, - solution of innovative-inventive tasks, - verification of solution variants,...) and software support by Goldfire tools (analysis, synthesis, datamining, knowledge mining, patent collolections, trend analysis, semantic processor, multicriterial evaluation of variants...).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
1. Dynamic explanation of each topics in frame of lectures (L1-L13). Most of materials located in e-learning.
2. Exercising of each topics supported by Goldfire Innovator software (E2-E12).
3. Elaboration of "microproject" in frame of exercisis or outside. Presentation of TRIZ methodology application.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Requirements for completion of a course are specified by a regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every.
3. Tests:
Project management, 5 p.
Analysis of an object, 10 p.
Synthesis of inventive task, 10 b.

Report about solved project, 20 b.

Written and oral examination, 55 b.

Course curriculum

1. Week: Project Management (PM) is methodical instrument for preparation and realization of changes in general, including technical innovation in the concrete. 2.-6. Week: Analysis of innovated object (decomposition, structure, functions, parameters, diagnosis, innovation tasks formulation: What and why innovate).
7.-12. Week: Synthesis of formulated inventive supported by TRIZ methodology and appropriate sw programs (Goldfire Inovator, TechOptimizer).
13. Presentation of innovative microproject.
Theory of Inventive Problem Solving - TIPS/TRIZ.
Prepartation of innovation and information. Product and process analyses: components, structure, functions, parameters. Localisation of harmful effetcs. Root Cause Effect Analysis. Significant tasks formulation. Diagnosis of components from point of view cost, problem and functionality. What and why to innovate?
Causal chain of functions. Check of validity. Rank of functions.
Trends of Enginnering Systems Evolution- TESE. Directions of innnovation. Trimming a developing procedures for products and processes.
Methods for solving technology problems. Typical tasks formulation.
Solving of technical contradictions by recommended inventive priciples.
Solving of physical contradictions by recommended separation principles.
Conflict model and recommended solution models.
