Practical English 6

The written test at C1 level of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) examines whether students understand a wide range of long and complex texts, including those related to their own area of speciality, recognise their implicit meaning and can locate specific information. Next it tests the knowledge of grammar and vocabulary (e.g. phrasal verbs, collocations, idioms, differences in the meaning).

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Credit will be obtained for passing the written test, i.e. getting at least 35 points (50%) out of 70 points at the required level of English language (C1 according to CEFR).

Aims

The output requirements for successful graduates of this course are formulated at C1 level (Effective Operational Proficiency) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
