Professional English I

FAST-BYA9Acad. year: 2023/2024

The course is divided into different topics. The first 3 weeks the topics are more general. Numbers, shapes, drawings. In the following weeks the topics become more focused, e.g. basic terminology of structural engineering, description of a building and building site, bridges, water engineering, skyscraper construction.
Every session there is 1 or 2 presentations given by the students. The topic of the presentation is chosen with the tutor.

Students will get acquainted with the specificities of the English professional style and the terminology of their field of study.
