Course detail

Special Insulations

FAST-BJ013Acad. year: 2023/2024

The contents is connected with preceding problems of building insulations and forms for interested persons an improvement of knowledge in studied problems. In the framework of the course special information will be presented concerning moisture propagation and defects of building structures caused by moisture effect on building materials. The application of building insulation in building objects includes the base for efficient use of insulations and it is connected with non-traditional utilization of energetic resources for heating of buildings and for the solution of buildings with low energy consumption.
The following tutorials have laboratory-, calculation- and partially design character.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Extent and forms are specified by guarantor’s regulation updated for every academic year.

Aims

Specialty of technological processes in using up-to-date building materials, use of insulation materials from heat-insulation, moisture and acoustic demands of buildings. Risks of new materials use in buildingsSecuring of humidity state in buildings, utilization of natural materials in building. Testing of insulation materials.Evaluation of materials effect on environment, technology of alternative heat sources utilization, low-energy buildings.
The student would manage the goal of the subject by acquiring knowledge on technological processes when using the modern construction materials, when using the insulation materials in terms of heat-insulation, moisture and acoustic requirements on constructions.
