Aims
The aim of the seminar is the creation of the text part of the final thesis documentation.
Students write the textual part of the documentation of the final thesis, which in its scope and complexity corresponds to the importance of the final output of the master's study. The scope of the text part of the diploma thesis should be approximately 15 to 20 thousand characters. The text part of the DZP usually includes: Brief annotation; motivational introduction (justification of the choice of the given assignment; sources of inspiration, etc.); defining the goal of the work, event. its practical benefit; basic description of the work / set of works / project; placing the work in the context of artistic / design practice, or comparison with the previous solution of a related issue; possible placement of the work in the context of art theory or visual theory; evaluation of the achieved results with regard to the set goals, or indicating possibilities or incentives for further work. On the formal side, the text part of the DZP is a continuous text that must meet the criteria of linguistic (grammatical and stylistic) correctness. It does not necessarily have to take the form of a professional text (if it contains a bibliography and notes, these should be subject to the citation and bibliographic standard), however, factual correctness and accuracy are required.
