To identify the history of art as an independent discipline, anchored in the history and society, and which provides a valuable source of knowledge for a deeper theoretical and historical anchoring of architectural work in the context of (European) visual art.
Students will familiarize with the terminology of the history of art and with the problems of the discipline; will acquire the knowledge of artefacts that illustrate the general aspects of the history of art. Students will be able to connect the important terms (style, era, authorship, function of art) with particular examples of the works of art from history.
