Selected Chapters from Machining

Specialised parts of machining technology completing the study of engineering technology. They include selected specialised technological methods and knowledge with respect to automated production procedures.

Entry knowledge

Students are expected to familiar with technological characteristics of cutting methods, machine tools, cutting tools.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Course unit credit requirements:
-participation in the exercises,
-delivery of assigned papers.
The exam will be written and oral and the resulting classification will be in accordance with Article 12 and 13 of the current BUT Study and Examination Regulations.
It is classificated to the ECTS grading scale.


Participation and their work in the exercises are systematically controlled. Compensation of absence will be determined by the teacher.

Aims

The course will familiarise students with selected technological methods focused on automated production procedures.


Students will be acquainted with the general approaches applied in interpretation of technological variables and they will learn the special machining processes, especially for shaped and precision surfaces.
