Course detail

Operation of Power Plant Equipment

FSI-LPZAcad. year: 2024/2025

One of the final subjects of the branch, focused on the principles of operation of power equipment and detection and elimination of operational failures of individual components of power units. In this course, students will be introduced to the start-up of steam boilers and steam turbines, power supply and regeneration and chemical water treatment. Another big topic is reliability of operation, overview of the most common failures, methods of their detection and elimination. The course requires knowledge of the design, project and construction of individual components of energy cycles. An integral part is the introduction to the basic energy legislation.
