Aviation Law and Regulations

The course is concerned with the following topics: The development of Aerospace Law. Basic principles, juridical regime of free space. International pacts and civil aviation organisation. Juridical status of aircraft, crew, airport and aviation business firm. Responsibility for air incidents and damages. Government administration in civil aviation. Cosmic law.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Course-unit credit requirements: participation in the course (80% at the minimum) and passing a written exam.
Lectures and exercises are compulsory, and the attendance (80% at the minimum) is controlled and recorded. The absence (in justifiable cases) can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer and elaboration of individually assigned topics and exercises. Individual tasks must be finished and handed in the credit week at the latest.

Aims

The aim is to clarify the basic position of law in civil aviation, to familiarize students with the nature and content of international conventions and international organizations of which the Czech Republic is a member of the essence of legislative regulation of civil aviation in the Czech Republic and the basic structural and operational rules, explain the principles of the exercise of state administration in the field of civil aviation.
Students learn the basics of Czech and international law in civil aviation.

6. Battle against illegal acts in aviation.
7. Basic rules in civil aviation I (L1, L6, L7, L9).

10. The Aircraft Register, Aircraft Airworthiness.
