Diploma Project II (M-MAI)

The course is oriented at instructing students during realization of their diploma theses. The interest is focused on how to use scientific literature, how to solve problems connected with their diploma theses and how to create a software on PC for preparing their diploma theses. Independent research in the area of applied mathematics as well as in-time completion of diploma theses is stressed. Project specifications from industrial companies are appreciated.

Entry knowledge

Students are supposed to have the knowledge gained during the study related to the topic of their theses.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The subject is completed by course-unit credit that will be awarded depending on the students' success of their work on the diploma theses as approved by the supervisors.


The work on the diploma theses will be checked by means of supervisors. If the supervisor is not satisfied with a student's results, the student will be assigned extra work to intensify the effort.

Aims

Students will work out the project of their diploma theses so that they could be finished before the end of the semester.


Students will acquire skills necessary for being able to realize a given project on a topic of applied mathematics.
