Automation and Control of Manufacturing Systems

The course is dedicated to doctoral students. Its contents is get a main overview about production and manufacturing systems and processes from the point of view automation and control possibilities. Further an overview about the useful automation elements and methodology and strategy for control such processes. There are also specified individual areas connected with student doctoral thesis for deeper study.

Entry knowledge


There is expected the knowledge from areas:
Production and manufacturing systems and its structure
Computer aided manufacturing processes
Automation elements for manufacturing equipment

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Student must independently elaborate the proposal for usage of automation elements and control algorithms for selected application. The main knowledge student must demonstrate at oral examination.
There is an individual study with consultation

Aims

The course familiarizes students with the deeper knowledge in the area of automation and control of production and manufacturing systems and processes. The emphasis this course is in application of the new knowledge in practical solution of specific problems connected with student doctoral thesis.
The good orientation students in the area of automation and control of production and manufacturing systems and processes. The ability of the application main knowledge to solution of the specific practical problems.
