The course is an introductory course of Czech language for foreigners. It is offered to international students who want to acquaint themselves with the basics of Czech language needed for elementary communication. Particular attention will be paid to the specifics of Czech pronunciation.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Students' work is systematically checked by the teacher. The course is concluded with final revision.


Students are required to attend the seminars actively and work out all assigned tasks.

Aims

The aim of the course is to make international students familiar with the basics of Czech language needed for elementary communication.

A student who successfully passes the course can understand and use basic vocabulary, phrases and elementary sentences in common situations. Can use elementary grammar and is familiar with the specific features of Czech pronunciation.
