Masters' Thesis Seminar 2

The seminar is designed as a propaedeutic for writing the text part of the diploma thesis, in the first half the rules of writing different types of self-referential texts and their theoretical reflection will be discussed, the second part will consist of completing the assigned exercises and discussing their feedback.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

For passing the course there are the following conditions:

  • Active presence (80% attendance)
  • Submitting all assigned homeworks
 

Teaching takes place in the classrooms of the FFA BUT in the hours determined by the schedule. Attendance is compulsory (2 unexcused absences allowed).

 

Aims

The aim of the course is to develop the competences necessary for writing the text part of the thesis - cultivated and acceptable written expression, text structuring, critical work with literature and sources, orientation in the rules of legitimate argumentation. 

By completing the course, the student will strengthen the ability of analytical thinking, the ability to create an author's text, academic writing, and the rules of argumentation.
