Doctoral Colloquium 2

The public doctoral colloquium presents the current results and progress of the dissertation work of all first- and second-year students. Students are required to submit the materials for the public lecture in electronic format (PDF or PowerPoint) to the doctoral study officer no later than one week before the public presentation. The submitted file becomes part of the study documentation. The public presentation begins with a brief introduction of the doctoral student by the supervisor, followed by the student’s presentation, in which they introduce the audience to the topic of the dissertation and the current state of progress—i.e., the results achieved so far in the dissertation topic. The presentation should not exceed 15 minutes, with additional time allocated for discussion with the attendees.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The colloquium is awarded based on the public presentation of the progress of the dissertation project and the successful answering of questions from the attendees.

Aims

The aim of the public presentation/colloquium is to present the current results and progress of the dissertation and to properly document them. During the colloquium, the ability of the student to publicly present the progress of their dissertation work is assessed.
