During professional internship, students work on a specific project, which can be assigned by a company or non-profit organization, where students practice. The head of the studio in which the applicant studies may also participate in formulating the goals and content of the practice. Students participate in all phases of the assigned project – from research and analysis to design and presentation of results. The practice takes place in real conditions - students work independently or in a team, coordinate and consult their work during the project. They present the acquired experience and results at the end of the semester.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Credits are granted on the basis of fulfilling the conditions set out in the contract on professional practice and after submitting a written evaluation of the course of professional practice – confirmed by an external entity and supplemented by the signature of the head of the studio – to the relevant officer of the study department.
Professional practice takes place in the premises of an external entity. Participation is mandatory. During the internship, students fulfill their obligations according to how they were agreed. Upon their return, they submit a report on the progress of the professional practice to the head of the studio (it mainly summarizes the content of the practice and comments on the acquired experience and skills and the individual contribution of the professional practice).
Aims
The aim of the course is to provide students with practical experience in the field of design and enable them to apply and develop their knowledge, skills and abilities in a real working environment. Professional practice will allow students to improve their work habits and communication skills, including the ability to cooperate with other team members, offer exposure to different work environments and enable direct communication with clients and customers.
Students will acquire knowledge and skills that should allow them to survive in the professional environment of the field of design, such as conceptual thinking about their work, technical skills and knowledge of relevant material processes or technological procedures, the ability to verbally articulate their own project, orientation in relevant theoretical approaches and disciplines, an overview of topics in the current field of design, the ability to critically evaluate and contextualize one's own creative practice.
