Course detail

Theory and practice of vocal expression 1

FaVU-1TaPVPAcad. year: 2024/2025

The course introduces students to the subject matter via individual and practical exercises and overcoming obstacles in learning new and repeating repertoire already rehearsed. After the initial vocal exercises and singing exercises, the study of repertoire is followed by a study of the repertoire based on confronting the notated material available to all singers with the real sound sounding around them. In the first stage, the singers repeat the rhythms and melodies played on the piano, later they add lyrics and phrasing and sing the pieces without instrumental support according to the instructions of the choirmaster. Subsequently, they perceive the surrounding voices and learn to interpret the piece according to the principles of each style period.
