The subject is focused on team cooperation, the student will master communication and information transfer within the framework of the solved problem. It will provide an insight into the systematic study of literature, evaluation of the obtained data. The course also focuses on the study of source data and its selection. Last but not least, the student will master work simulating a project and project management

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Credit will be earned after submission and review of a summary report and presentation of project results. 

Aims

Students will learn the rules of working in a professional team as part of a team solution to a specific problem in the field of chemistry and materials technology. Based on the knowledge gained from literary sources, the students will form small teams according to their interest in a specific issue, divide their roles and solve the given problem theoretically within the team. They will learn the rules for processing the final summary report and prepare for the opposition. As part of the presentation of the progress of the solution and project outputs, they will acquire new presentation skills. The subject is a preparation for the following solution of individual projects within the framework of bachelor's theses, where students must join existing research teams and fulfill the assigned role.

Syllabus

The subject is focused on team cooperation, the student will master communication and information transfer within the framework of the solved problem. It will provide an insight into the systematic study of literature, evaluation of the obtained data. The course also focuses on the study of source data and its selection. Last but not least, the student will master work simulating a project and project management 

 

Week 1: Introduction to teaching, project management, teamwork. Division of students into teams, selection of topics and supervisors. 2.-9. week: Processing of the project assignment - control days in individual teams. 10.-13. week: Presentation of the results of individual teams, discussion, opposition of the final report.
