Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Course requirements: a short presentation on a technical / academic topic (10 minutes) in the course of the semester.
Exam: written (language test - 40 points; listening - 30 points; reading - 30 points).
Passmark: 50% in each part of the exam.

Aims
Acquiring the level of the English language required for doctoral state exam in all language skills focussing on English for specific and professional purposes.
Skilled language user able to use English for the purposes of his specific profession in electrical engineering. The aim of the course is to enhance students' skills in reading comprehension, writing abstracts, reports and articles, presentation and communication skills.
