Safety management of technical systems

Management as a prerequisite for functioning of any structure. The role and place of management in organisation management. The principles of managerial decision-making, problem (and situation) analysis, methods, forms. Mutual dependences and connections of management activities. Basic theoretical and professional knowledge of the safety and protection management. Problems of risks and their influence on the contingency of technological break-downs. The principles of risk management and managerial workers activity.

The knowledge and skills will be further practised and tested in the seminar; and in accordance with the seminar work on given topic.

Aims

The objectives of the subject “Safety and protection management” are to inform students about the basics of general management and especially the safety and protection management, about the methods of decision-making, and to enable their further development in the field of crisis management. To show students the necessity of safety and protection management and its importance for the society.
After completion of the course, students will have the fundamental knowledge in the field of safety and protection management. They will be able to think in the intentions of the presented terms, principles and categories of safety and protection. They will be able to understand better and partly know the basics of the safety and protection management.

1. Úvod a vymezení předmětu, jeho místo a úloha, systémové chápání problému 2. Informace a jejich role v řídících procesech, psychologie v řízení, komunikace 4. Manažerské rozhodování – základní pojmy, problémy a postupy 5. Manažerské rozhodování – vybrané základní metody 6. Management rizika (hodnocení) 7. Bezpečnostní problémy, jejich rozbor a vlivy na existenci a řízení organizačních struktur 8. Hodnocení bezpečnosti technických systémů 9. Zásady komunikace za rizika, percepce rizika 10. Organizace ochrany osob, technologických celků, majetku a životního prostředí, její zásady, prvky a procesy 11. Zásady bezpečného provozu 12.
