Hydropedology

FAST-BSA006Acad. year: 2024/2025

Subject BS06 Hydropedology focuses on interpretation of soil-water relations and their role in the protection of agricultural land. The basic form of teaching are exercises in which students get acquainted with the physical and hydraulic properties of the soil, hydrolimits and infiltration of water into the soil. In use of models in pedology students learn how to gather and analyze the resulting data from the available programs RETC (van Genuchten et al., 1991) and ROSETTA (Schaap, 2003).
The outcome of the exercise will be a term paper and written test.
