Measurement of operational parameters in water management

Gauges devision, basic meteorologic laws, legislation. Calibration and validation of gauges. Official measuring of parameters and their evaluation. Determination of uncertainty of measuring. Thechniques for measuring of geometric and discharge characteristics. Sampling. Measuring of pressures, leakage, on weirs, on dams, in technological cycles. Deformation of dam structures, valley slopes. Security survey and supervision at water structures.

Introduction to measuring techniques and methods and evaluation of operational parameters. Uncertainties of evaluated parameters. Purpose of security survey and supervision at water structures, periodic survey of structures. Overview of meteorological regulations.

1.-3. Basic legislation in field of meteorology and water management. 2.-6. Overview of measuring technique of operational parameteres in water management. 7. Devices calibration - dates and realisation. 8. Measuring at weirs and dams. 9. Measuring of hydroenergetic systems parameters. 10.-11. Discharge measuring in streams, in sewrage system with free water level. Leakage measuring. 12. Measuring of descharge in pressure pipe system. 13. Result evaluation, uncertainties in parametrs measuring.
