Urban Drainage

Introduction, sewer system planning; patterns of collection systems, quality and quantity of dry weather flow, rainfall data for urban drainage design; characterization of stormwater, rational method and other design procedures for storm sewers, hydraulic transport in drainage network, Saint Venant equation for dynamic wave, elements of urban hydrology, modelling of stormwater runoff, quantity and quality, modelling of urban sewer systems on computers, new drainage concepts, pipe materials, structures on sewerage and sewer connections, management and control of urban drainage.

Aims

The primary purpose of this course is to review the current of art in urban drainage, with emphasis on drainage impacts on the receiving waters, means of impact mitigation and implementation of the national standards and management programs. The subject brings groudings about Planning, Design, Operation, Rehabilitation of Sewer systems and information about hydroinformatics tools.
Student will manage aim of course: planning, proposal, operating and rehabilitation of sewer networks including hydroinformatics.
