History of Building Trades

Implementation of development building trades from oldest time to end 19.century, clarifying conventional building processes with accent on the historic skilled handwork into detail.
Knowledges are using one the one hand in area restoration of monuments, one the one hand for understanding contemporary technologies and possibility solution of design details from point of view architectural and building construction.

Syllabus

1. Short development of building trades and their position from antiquity to close 19.century. 2. Stonework - development method preparation of stone, masonry pillars, vaults. 3. Stonework - shields, oriels, balconies and development trade rendering. 4. Stonework - stone facing, cornices, adjustments of details windows and doors. 5. Bricklaying - development of trade, brickwork, walling bedding and jointing, vaults, cornices, stairs. 6. Bricklaying - modify external and inside of surface, brick pavings, plasters, stuke, patent stone. 7. Carpentry - development of trade, curb and timber frameworks, historic roof trusses. 8. Carpentry - walls, ceilings, roofings. 9. Carpentry - development of trade of doors and gates. 10.Joinery - windows, sho-windows. 11.Tinsmith´s workshop and roofer´s workshop - development of trades roofings, raceways by channels and aris gutters. 12.Smithery - development of trade connections, windows, daylights, chimneys, rails, grates. 13.Excursion.
