Pre-intermediate German (exam)

For this exam, the optional subjects BYN1, BYN12, BYN2 and BYN22 are offered, in which students aquire the required knowledge and skills. The exam is based on the contents of the textbooks Schritte International Band 1-4.
The exam is based on the internationally acclaimed Goethe-Zertifikat Deutsch exam on the A2 level (pre-intermediate) which requires a student to understand the most important information given in everyday conversations, short announcements on the radio and on the phone. Furthermore, students should be able to deal with short newspaper articles, notices etc., fill in simple forms and write short messages about everyday topics. In oral discourse, they should be able to introduce themselves, talk about their lives and ask and answer simple questions concerning common topics.

Aims

The aim of this exam is to assess whether students have reached the A2 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework) established by the Council of Europe.
There are two parts of this exams, written (reading, listening and writing skills) and oral (conversation on everyday topics).
The student who has passed the exam will have demonstrated a pre-intermediate level of German as described by the A2 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework) established by the Council of Europe.
