Course detail
FSI-GTC-KAcad. year: 2024/2025
This course completes the theoretical knowledge in the field of Production machines, systems and robots with practice. Students will be introduced gradually with the technological design of castings, forgings, castings, and machined parts, following their finishing on modern NC machines. Further furthermore, they learn to judge wear and disturbance of production machinesand operationally and economically design their repair or replacement, and all within the requirements of pan-European standards ISO 9000. Information is applied to each machine tool from the group of machines at the Institute of production machines, systems and robotics, on their mechanical, electrical parts and their control systems and to compulsory semester work.. An integral part of teaching is an excursion into the manufacturing enterprise, dealing with retorfitting.

Aims
The knowledge of students will be enriched through a new view of manufacturing process, logistics, and economy of an engineering company, and they will learn how to find their way round production process, repairs, and up-dating of machines and equipment. Practically verify operation during repairs and retrofitting of concrete production machinery.
The subject develops invention and practical erudition of students as to technical aspects of design, repairs, and up-dating of production machines and devices, and assists the students to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge at market competitive environment.
