Safety of Machinery and Electrical Engineering Equipment

The subject focuses on issues and principles concerned with the analysis of risks affecting mechanical and electrical equipment. Such risks need to be controlled in order to ensure the safety of these devices before they are introduced to the market or brought into operation.

Seminars are compulsory, lectures are recommended.
Aims
Students will be acquainted with issues and principles concerned with the identification of danger and the analysis of risk with regard to machinery and electrical devices – an area which needs to be mastered in order to operate these devices safely. Students will obtain the latest knowledge regarding safety standards and legal regulations concerning health and safety protection when working on machinery and electrical devices.
