Sport Training

In the course Sports training are synthesized theoretical knowledge from the courses Anatomy, Functional Anatomy, Physiology, Physiology of physical load, Social science of sport I, Biomechanics and develops in theoretical and practical topics the issue of adaptation of human organism to various types of stimuli for various sports performances . The student will get acquainted with the basic principles of sports training, understand the patterns of development and maintenance of training, performance and the link between health prevention and regular physical activity. They will acquire basic information about the need and possibilities of monitoring the state of the organism associated with the development of training and performance and the role of specifically focused monitoring in various types of sports performance.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Lectures 80%. 100% compulsory seminars. Each student submits and presents a seminar paper. The seminar can be exceptionally replaced by agreement with the teacher.

Aims

Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to provide students with clear theoretical and practical information on the principles of adaptation of the organism to regular physical activity and manifestations of training and sports performance. Students will be acquainted with monitoring and testing of these conditions during the training process by means of motor tests and instrumentation.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of the principles of sports training and adaptation of the human organism to regular physical stress.
The student will understand the meaning and effectiveness of individual training methods, means and forms of sports training for the development of training and performance.
The student will acquire basic knowledge and skills about the need to monitor conditions in the process of sports training in the laboratory and in the field by means of motor tests and instrumentation.
The student will realize the possibilities of using modern technologies for testing in sport.
The student will understand the development of physical abilities, skills and possibilities of their monitoring during the training process.
Student will know methods, training tools and forms of training process and basic principles of their use.
The student will be able to prepare data of important variables from the training process and testing for their interpretation and understanding of the context of the load.
The graduate will be able to independently prepare testing using instrumentation by means of motor tests, realize testing and process data for their analysis and evaluation.
The written exam verifies that the student is able to:
- explain the basic principles of fitness development, training, performance in sport
- describe methods of developing motor skills and skills,
- explain the need for regular testing and monitoring in sport,
- describe the organization of various types of monitoring and testing in sport,
- to list suitable instrumentation for testing motor skills.
