Micro and nano computed tomography

The aim of the subject is to get understanding of laboratory based X-ray computed tomography and practically demonstrate its possibilities in material analysis and benefits in applied and basic research. It consists of two parts. The first deals with theory of X-ray generation, tomographic reconstruction apparatus and basics of image processing. The second is practical part showing the real measurement and sample preparation and data processing. All by professional equipment and guided by an expert. All of this will allow to find an own interest according to student background or doctoral study.
