Internship

The Internship is a compulsory part of the professionally oriented bachelor study programme “Architecture and Urban Design”. Under the lead of a certified architect, students are familiarized with the function of architectural office and with the aspects of real practice, namely with the economic, procedural, and legal relations of the professional environment. They will gain experience with the legal and ethical standards which are applied in the relation of architects and clients, and employers and employees.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Students will produce a timesheet signed by a certified architect (or by an equivalent person from European Economic Area and Switzerland) who supervised his/her work, a work experience log book, and anonymised samples of performed work.
The internship length determines at least 760 work hours (corresponding to 19 weeks of standard 40-hour work week) and at least 12 weeks of performed work.
