Course detail
Sacred Space
FA-SAP-KAcad. year: 2025/2026
The course presents comprehensive information and creative principles for the design of the sacral architecture. The theoretical part integrates information from sacral/monumental design, symbolism, fine arts, typology, theology, liturgy, design and interior design into a compact block of lectures. The course emphasizes the cooperation of individual disciplines which participate in the creation of sacred space. This enhances students´ approach to the design in the practical part which is a basis for their future individual architectural practice in the field of sacral structures.
In the study programme “Architecture and Urban Design” the course is part of the technical courses.
