Law Basics for Architects

The course provides students with basic information on systematization of valid legal code, on legal possibilities how they may behave as designers employed in design organisations, and on the basics of building procedure when working at building authorities.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Students are assessed via written examination in the form of a test.
The lessons consist of optional lectures without compensation.

Aims

To acquire the knowledge of legal code of the Czech Republic in relation to the study of architecture and the following professional practice.
  • Students will understand the legal code of the Czech Republic.
  • Students will have general knowledge of the basic regulations related to the architectural practice.
  • Students will understand the Building Code.
  • Students will understand the process of building procedure.
  • Students will have the general knowledge of practicing architecture, namely of performance stages and the related documentation.
