Martial Arts Self-Defense Urban Combatives

Introduction to the issue of self-defense. We will discuss how conflict arises, how attackers choose their goals, how to control their personal space, how to verbally de-escalate conflict, and how to fight if it is not possible to end the conflict in any other way. The course includes legal aspects of self-defense, conflict psychology and mental training. Students will learn about the effects of adrenaline and stress on their body and learn how to keep these conditions under control. The course will include the basics of working with defensive means (telescopic baton, pepper spray).
The course will include video demonstrations of real situations from security cameras and analysis of suitable tactics. The semester will end with model situations, where students will test the acquired knowledge in situations very similar to reality.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The student will get acquainted with how conflicts arise and how not to become a victim of a crime. They will get acquainted with the methods of psychological preparation for combat and try out model situations very close to real attack.
Regular attendance with registration in the attendance list, 2 unexcused absences are allowed, apologies orally for absences in advance directly in class or by email in advance, but no later than 24.0 hours after the date of class.
Compensation for missed and unexcused lessons always in agreement with the teacher directly in the specialization or in specific hours at the Machina Fit Center. The compensation is recorded in the attendance sheet or the teacher issues a written confirmation if the attendance sheet is not available.
Other compensation options are in block classes, at CESA courses and sporting events (eg Christmas Games, Sports Day, one-off weekend educational events).

Aims

To teach the student to recognize the dangers in time and offer him opportunities to effectively and safely resolve the various phases of the conflict.
The student will get acquainted with how conflicts arise and how not to become a victim of a crime. They will get acquainted with the methods of psychological preparation for combat and try out model situations very close to real attack.
