BUT course of is organized as a teacher controlled group game. The tennis game can be enjoyed all year round by players of practically any level of skill. Lessons are organized from lower intermediate (Z) to intermediate players (P).

Lesssons take place in BUT sports hall Pod Palackého vrchem (SAPPV).

NOTE! Clean indoor sport shoes and comfortable sport outfit is your must.

Sports equipment rental 50 Czech crowns from the fourth week of the semester is applied.

Entry knowledge

Movement ability and skills at the secondary school level are required.
Players are encouraged to bring their own tennis rackets and balls, but we will have a few if you need to borrow in the beginning of the course.   

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Credit- based on active participation in lessons, regular attendance, registration in the attendance sheet (two unexcused absences are allowed). One credit is granted in accordance with the Directive No. 17/2019 concerning the teaching of Physical Education.   

Aims

Compensation for unilateral sedentary jobs and improvement of student skills and knowledge about development and sustainability of fitness to achieve an optimal state of physical fitness as an appropriate means of health prevention and the activities of how to spend their leisure time in active way.
The course is based on modern knowledge of sports training environment and the needs of current generation of university students.
The result of learning is the acquisition of new and improvement of previously acquired skills, knowledge and competencies in tennis and its implementation in the chosen sport, maintaining and improving physical and mental condition, relaxation and compensation for one-sided sedentary employment.
