The subject content is the completion of professional work experience of 160 hours (4 weeks), especially in companies and firms with an electrotechnical or communication technology focus, or in research and development institutes and institutions. The student has the opportunity to choose a domestic or foreign company. The student can arrange the internship on his/her own or can use the possibility to do it with a contracted partner of the faculty. The internship must be carried out outside of regular teaching hours (especially during the summer vacation period). The internship must include the use of English, e.g. in communication, translation of documents, etc. The aim of the course is for the student to be able to use English as the language of communication in negotiations and communication on professional topics (electrical engineering/communication technology), to discuss and communicate in English problems arising during work on the assigned task and also, on the basis of the application of knowledge acquired in professional subjects (both philological and electrotechnical), to be able to understand, translate and communicate the content of electrotechnical documents.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Credits by submission:
- a confirmation of the student’s work experience in the company,
- a written report on the scope of the internship and the results achieved,
which must be confirmed by the workplace where the student has completed the internship.
Aims
- discuss and communicate problems arising from work on a given task in English;
- apply the knowledge acquired in professional subjects (both philological and electrotechnical) in practice;
- analyse problems arising in professional work and come up with proposed solutions;
- use English as a language of communication in negotiations and communication on professional (electrotechnical / IT) topics;
- able to understand, translate and communicate the content of electrotechnical documents.
