Entry knowledge

Knowledge at the level of secondary school is required, especially the ability to work with trigonometric functions, operations with complex numbers, knowledge of the theory of solving linear circuits. Work in the laboratory is conditioned by a valid qualification of according to decree. 50/1978 Coll., which students must obtain before the start of laboratory practice.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Evaluated activities:
- Laboratory tasky (18 p.)
- Homework (12 p.)
- Tests (10 p.)

It is necessary to achieve at least 20 p. during semester.

Final exam has two parts - oral (30 p.) and written (30 p.) - requested minimum is 15 p. for each part.

The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a regulation issued by the guarantor of the course and updated for every academic year.

Aims

The aim of the course is to provide students a basic orientation in the field of electricity generation, transmission, distribution and economics. Furthermore, the aim is to acquaint students with the basic connections in common domestic and industrial electrical practice with a focus on conventional and intelligent wiring.
Students will gain basic knowledge about the production of electricity, its distribution and design of domestic and industrial distribution.
