The course is to acquaint students with the technology of road construction and machinery used in their construction as a machine for plating, compaction mechanisms, machines for construction of concrete and asphalt roads and their construction design.

Successful completion of the course is conditional on the basic knowledge of technical mechanics, physics and higher mathematics.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Classification and assessment of the student credit: Excellent (90-100 points), very good (80-89 points), good (70-79 points), satisfactory (60-69 points), sufficient (50-59 points), failed (0-49 points).Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the exercises actively and worked out assigned projects. Presence in the exercises is obligatory.
Aims
The aim and task of the course is to acquaint students with the design layout and main technical parameters of compaction machinery, construction machinery for asphalt and concrete roads, machinery for the repair of roads and automation of machinery for road construction. Acquainted with the principles of design and planning in respect of technology and technical requirements.Students will be able to choose the concept of meeting the technological and technical equipment requirements, specify the main components and machine projection addressed. It is able to propose optimal technological assembly machinery to build roads on the basis of their technical parameters and options.
