The course focuses on the modelled head, which is a classic object for practicing the construction of mass in space and teaching modelling techniques. The semester is divided into three assignments, the first is a modelled skull based on a model, which is the necessary starting point for the subsequent two modelled heads based on plaster busts, with emphasis on proportion, character expression, movement and details.

Aims
The graduates will be able to model an object according to a model in scale 1:1 with an emphasis on volume construction, proportions and character of model. The subject develops the ability to observe and analyse visual elements and cultivates art predisposition for individual creative activity in the area of industrial design. To acquiring the sense of space, plastic shape, estimation and measurement of dimensions. Knowledge of the necessary technical basics of working with modelling clay and modelling equipment. The development of artistic sense of construction of 3D objects and practical knowledge of anatomy of head.
