Course detail

Steam Turbines

FSI-LPAAcad. year: 2025/2026

The course deepens the knowledge of physical phenomena and processes during transformation of thermal or pressure energy into mechanical energy in thermal turbines gained mainly in the courses Turbomachinery and Thermal Turbines and Turbocompressor. Students will learn to design steam turbine and its components from the determination of basic parameters and conception through the detailed thermodynamic calculation of partial components and determination of the basic dimensions design. Students will learn to combine energy, technical, operational, economic and environmental requirements for construction design.
