Course detail

Renewable Energy Sources

FSI-UOZAcad. year: 2025/2026

The analysis of energy transformations in machines forms the basis of the first part of the lectures. It is the basis for the application in the following lectures on renewable energies. The next part of the course is devoted to the most important renewable and secondary energy sources. Exercises focus on the design of specified types of renewable energy systems for a selected building according to the relevant standards.

Mode of study

Not applicable.

Entry knowledge

Knowledge of hydrodynamics and thermomechanics

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The exam takes the form of a written test. To successfully pass the exam, the student must achieve at least 50% of the maximum achievable positive points.

Credit will be awarded on the basis of continuous completion of the project and its final submission.

Participation in the exercises is systematically controlled

Aims

Provide a comprehensive overview of renewable energy sources used in the CR and worldwide, including transformations to other types of energy, together with basic procedures for designing appropriate renewable energy systems according to standards.

The student will gain an overview of renewable energy sources in technical practice and their environmental, economic and energy aspects. They will learn to design individual renewable energy sources according to the relevant standards.
