The course focuses on the characteristics and trends of the contemporary world economy with emphasis on the position of European Union within the world economy. The course includes defining the subjects of the world economy, the forms of relations and the division of the world economy into regional trade groupings.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
A student will receive a credit if he receives at least 21 points out of 40 points awarded for the completed seminar paper and its presentation and meets the condition of 75% participation in exercises. The exam is written, the maximum number of points from the exam is 60 points, while the student must obtain at least 31 points. For the purpose of the overall evaluation of the subject, the points from the exercises and from the exams are added up.
