The main content of this subject is to gain relevant knowledge from the field of psychology and sociology which is necessary for effective company. Emphasis is put on interpersonal communication in the corporate environment and the ability to apply them in training activities in order to develop managerial skills corporate practice.

1. Introduction to the course. Definition of organizational criteria and conditions for passing the course. Assignment of semester work topics and processing criteria.2. Definition of key terms: culture and its elements, intercultural competence and its components, process of intercultural communication.3. Intercultural adaptation: individual identity, acculturation, cultural shock and mechanisms of its successful coping4. Culture concept description.5. Classical cultural models: Hofstede, Trompenaars, Hampdon-Turner.6. The concept of cultural standards according to A. Thomas.7. Cultural assimilator as a means of intercultural training.8. Negotiating in international environment. AID model for interactions with different cultures.9. Specifics of work in international teams. GLOBE model.10. Barriers to intercultural communication. Ethnocentrism, cultural relativism.11. Specifics of selected European cultures with a focus on international trade.12.
