Sustainability and Circular Economics

The course “Sustainability and Circular Economics” is conceived as an interdisciplinary field, synthesizing the latest findings from the theory of sustainability and other related disciplines, especially from the circular economy. The aim of the course is to develop knowledge of economic, environmental, social and corporate governance aspects of the enterprise in relation to sustainability and circular economics on the basis of interdisciplinary scientific and research activities, and to provide students with the latest scientific findings and knowledge, as well as the skills needed to address specific problems of enterprises in the global economic environment.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The lessons are based on controlled individual work of doctoral students and involve the elaboration of a scientific project. The exam will be in the form of a debate on the subject assigned. It includes the defence of a scientific project, methodologically related to the thematic focus of the dissertation.

Aims

Objectives of the course “Sustainability and Circular Economics” include the theoretical basis of selected knowledge areas and the systematic acquisition of necessary and practical scientific methods and procedures suitable for the given area of study. The course contents are divided into two thematic areas: sustainability and circular economics.
