The subject focuses on issues and principles concerned with the analysis of risks affecting mechanical and electrical equipment. Such risks need to be controlled in order to ensure the safety of these devices before they are introduced to the market or brought into operation.

1. Introduction to the safety of machinery and electrical equipment.2. The main Czech and European legislation concerning the safety of machinery.3. Harmonised standards, legal aspects of technical standardisation, hierarchy of safety types. Standards.4. Basics of technical risk analysis of machinery.5. Safety aspects of machinery.6. Safety and protection systems in machinery, importance of ergonomics.7. Health and safety at work on machinery and electrical equipment.8. Wiring on machinery.9. Requirements for electrical installations.10. Functional safety requirements for SRPCS circuits.11. Software safety requirements for programmable electronic devices.12. Electromagnetic compatibility, risk analysis.13. Case studies.
Exercise
Case study according to the student's expertise in the field of risk assessment and proposal of preventive measures to reduce risks in selected machinery.
