Basics of architectural perspective (intensive course)

The course introduces participants to the basics of architectural drawing with a focus on perspective, architectural drawing technique and drawing composition. A walk through the city with stops at interesting architectural realizations with interpretation and sketching on the spot is part of the. The course alse contains a lecture on trends in contemporary architecture. The last lesson is devoted to architectural drawing with an element of design and ends with a colloquium on the last work and on all the works from the course. Attention will also be paid to the participants' homework with professional consultation – this part is voluntary for the participants.

Participation in the course, work on assigned tasks and participation in the final colloquium.

Aims

  • Graduates of the course will gain a basic understanding of the perspective view of an architectural situation.
  • The participant is able to visualize an architectural situation with a simple drawing.
  • The participant is able to realize the differences and characteristics of architectural objects in their surroundings.
