Basics of architectural perspective

The short course introduces participants to the basics of architectural drawing with a design element. The course focuses on depicting space in perspective. Course participants also have the opportunity to consult their own (home)work with an expert – this part is voluntary. The course ends with a joint colloquium.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Participation in the course, work on assigned tasks and participation in the final colloquium.

Aims

  • Participant has a basic knowledge of depicting space and objects using perspective.
  • The participant is able to visualize an architectural situation with a simple drawing.
  • The participant has a basic knowledge of the typology of an architectural object according to function, which can be supplemented by self-study.
  • The participant is able to realize the differences and characteristics of architectural objects in their surroundings.
