Mode of study

Not applicable.

Entry knowledge

Students are expected to be familiar with the fundamentals of fusion and pressure welding technology, as well as with science of materials.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The course-unit credits award is based on attendance at seminars, correct elaboration of computational assignment and active participation in its processing.

The final exam will be composed of written and oral part.

It is classificated to the ECTS grading scale.

The attendance to the seminar is regularly checked and the participation in the lesson is recorded. The missed lesson a student will elaborate the complemental task.

Aims

The main objective of the course is to provide students with the theoretical foundations and methodology necessary for solving technologies of problems relating to the application of special welding technologies. Students will acquire knowledge necessary for a complex solution of special welding technology application.

Students will acquire knowledge of unconventional types of modern welding technologies, and will be able to apply these technologies to particular examples of special welding. They will be able to independently and creatively work on a welding procedure.
