Deals with the analysis of characteristic examples of more complex types of structures, which enables to understand their behaviour and, accordingly, to make principal conceptual decisions.

Gaining knowledge of static action and stress in more complex cases of bearing structures

Prerequisites

Knowledge of basics of structural mechanics,in which the subject follows.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Working out of assignments, written theoretical and numerical examination.

Course curriculum

Compound cases straining - strutting pressure, biaxial moment, pressure, twisting, method solving SN construction, funicular, arc and areal construction.

Understanding the effect of stress on the behaviour of the more complex types of structures.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Active attendance at tutorials, continuous work on assignments.
