Rendering in the environment of the Rhinoceros programme supported by the Flamingo module and its practising on objects modeled in Rhinoceros.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

To be able to aply and edit various materials by using the library of materials or to create new surfaces of editing. To master the editing of the qualities of objects, their transparency and shades, as well as the application of "a sticker" on their surface.
To be able to use and change various kinds of light sources.
To be able to master the editing of the environment and to create scenes by combining these factors.
To master the rendering modes Raytacing and photometric rendering.

Credit conditions: Attendance in all exercises. To prove continuous mastering of explained topics.

Course curriculum

1/ Introduction, definition of model, infinite plane, definition of light sources, practice on models.
3-4/ Libraries of materials, their applications.
5-8/ Creation and definition of new materials through a dialogic window, practice on models.
9-12/ Procedural materials, mixing of structures, surface structures, practice on models.
13-16/ Qualities of objects, transparency and shades, mapping of materials, practice on models.
17-18/ Mapping of sticker and its qualities, practice on model.

Aims

To master the rendering programme for the creation of presentation picture files, following up the 3D modeling programme.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
