Contemporary Architecture and Urbanism

The course acquaints students with current events of contemporary architectural and urban planning and arts scene, both domestic and foreign. It surveys contemporary urban architecture and methods of each country with emphasis on the performances of notable buildings, analyzing the concepts and the overall architectural expression. Represents celebrities, studios, as well as events associated with a given field, such as exhibitions, publications, Pritzker award prizes, etc. An integral part is lecturing extern both teoretků and architectural historians, and prominent architects and urban planners in practice

The course acquaints students with current events in the contemporary architectural and urban planning and art scene, both domestic and foreign. Features celebrities, studios, as well as events associated with a given field, such as exhibitions, publications, Pritzker award prices, etc. An integral part of the lectures and externs both theorists and historians of architecture and prominent architects and urban planners in practice.

Overview and orientation in the current development in the field of architecture and urbanism, trends and directions, key authors and works.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Active participation of students in the preparation of stemming Desk, work on the topics discussed by the lectures. Form of replacement monitors Study and Examination Regulations of BUT and Dean FA VUT.
